Time: 9:00am - 1:00pm
Date: Saturday, October 8, 2011 (Rain or Shine)
Place: Blair County Ballpark (Altoona Curve)
Not properly disposing of used tires can cause contamination to our local water supply, release toxic fumes when tires our burned, and create habitats for rodents, mosquitoes, and more. The PA Cleanways of Blair County in association with the Blair County Conservation District, the Blair County Department of Solid Waste & Recycling, and the Inter-Municipal Relations Commintee are sponsoring this event.
This event is for Blair County residents ONLY!
Cost for tire disposal is;
Car, Light Truck, Motorcycle tires - off rim is $2 each / on rim is $4 each
Tires wider than 14 inches - off rim $12 each / on rim $14 each
Farm Tires - off rim only $20 each
No tractor trailer, industrial or commercial tires will be accepted.
Cash Only Payment is expected the day of the event
Any proceeds from this event will be used to support local illegal dump site cleanups!
